Ventura Fellowship Autism Research Funding

The Ventura Endowed Fellowship for Autism Research supports training and skill development in autism science for early career professionals at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s.

This fellowship is designed to build clinical and research capacity by supporting individuals who are developing expertise in autism diagnosis, assessment, medical co-occurring conditions, and interventions.

Who Can Apply

  • Graduate student trainees
  • Postdoctoral and clinical fellows
  • Early career professionals (within 3 years of degree) in medical, educational, psychological, or related fields

What the Fellowship Supports

The program provides up to $1,500 to support training and professional development activities such as:

  • Presenting clinical research at scientific meetings
  • Attending trainings in diagnosis or treatment models

Fellowship Options

  • Conference Fellowship: supports travel and registration for presenting clinical research focused on autistic individuals
  • Education and Training Fellowship: supports workshops and training opportunities in clinical and treatment areas

Key Details

  • Application deadline: April 30, 2025
  • Funds must be used by December 31, 2026
  • Awards are administered by UW Psychiatry
  • Applicants may receive the fellowship up to three times, with priority given to first-time recipients
