The IDDRC is one of 15 centers funded by the NIH and it focuses on supporting research that will impact the lives and families of individuals with developmental disabilities.

The UCEDD is one of 68 programs in the US and is focused on community service, advocacy, interdisciplinary training, and information dissemination.

The UW IHDD is one of six sites that houses all three: IDDRC, UCEDD and LEND. Our goal is to improve the lives of folks with developmental disabilities.

The Institute on Human Developmental Disabilities (IHDD) has 3 main center grants: 1) the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC), 2) the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), and 3) The Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) center (which is a program within the UCEDD).

Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC)
The IDDRC provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary research program in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD)
Comprehensive interdisciplinary service, research, and training centers focusing on children and adults at risk for or who have established developmental disabilities.

Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities
UW LEND serves as a center of excellence preparing the next generation of leaders to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
