Megan Goldenshteyn and Karís Casagrande Join 2026–2027 QI Scholars Cohort
Congratulations to Megan Goldenshteyn, PhD, and Karís Casagrande, PhD, two members of the IHDD community selected for the 2026–2027 Quality Improvement (QI) Scholars program.
Dr. Goldenshteyn, a psychologist in IHDD’s developmental clinics and psychology discipline lead for UW LEND, will focus on improving access to Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) services for children under age three receiving neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) follow-up care. Her project aims to strengthen direct referrals and track whether families connect with recommended services.
Dr. Casagrande, a UW LEND alum and member of the Washington INCLUDE Collaborative, will develop a data-driven clinical decision-making pathway to improve autism evaluation workflows at Seattle Children’s Autism Center. Her project aims to standardize processes and better match evaluation scheduling to patients’ needs.
Sponsored by Seattle Children’s Center for Quality and Patient Safety and the UW Department of Pediatrics, the year-long program combines mentored projects with training in QI research methods and data analysis support.
Meet the 2026–2027 QI Scholars and explore their projects.
