Study on Parenting, Patience, and Disability
Our colleagues at the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing (BCDF) at Baylor University are inviting parents to participate in a national research study focused on parenting, patience, and transition-age youth with developmental disabilities (ages 11–17).
This longitudinal study explores how parents experience and understand patience during the transition to adulthood. Researchers are interested in what patience looks like in daily life, how it supports families, and the challenges parents face during this stage.
Participation involves completing a brief online survey each spring over four years. Participants will be compensated for their time.
Researchers hope to hear from a small group of parents in each state, helping ensure a diverse range of experiences are represented.
