Support IHDD on Husky Giving Day
Husky Giving Day is April 23. This annual campaign is an opportunity to support programs that make a meaningful difference for people with disabilities and their families.
At the IHDD, our work focuses on improving health and quality of life through research, training, and service. Support through Husky Giving Day helps sustain and grow programs across IHDD.
This year, we are highlighting three programs that benefit from your support:
- Family Support: The IHDD Family Support Program helps families manage practical and financial barriers that can make attending clinic visits difficult. When a need is identified during an appointment, families may receive a $100 cash card to help cover expenses such as gas, food, parking, or lodging. This modest support helps families access care and stay connected to important services.
- UW LEND UP: UW LEND UP introduces undergraduate students to careers serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through mentorship, clinical observation, and seminars, students gain exposure to disability and health professions while building pathways into graduate training and leadership roles.
- Nutrition Training: The Nutrition Network supports nutrition services for children and youth with special health care needs across Washington State. The program provides training and ongoing support for registered dietitian nutritionists and interdisciplinary feeding teams who work directly with families to address feeding and nutrition challenges.
Your support helps remove barriers to care, strengthen the future workforce, and expand access to critical services for families across Washington.
