FASD Respect Act Signed Into Law

Parents holding young child in the air.The FASD Respect Act has been signed into law as part of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Reauthorization Act of 2025 (H.R. 2483), restoring federal support for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) programs after nearly 20 years.

The law strengthens the national response to prenatal alcohol exposure by expanding education, improving diagnostic capacity, and supporting FASD-informed services across states, Tribal communities, and local systems of care.

This milestone reflects years of advocacy from families, self-advocates, and professionals nationwide and aims to better support individuals and families impacted by FASD.
