AHA Fellowships Research on Autism and Cardiovascular Health

A doctor uses a stethoscope to check the heartbeat of his patient. The American Heart Association (AHA), in partnership with Autism Speaks, is accepting applications for its 2027 Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships focused on autism, cardiovascular health, and brain health.

The fellowships support research exploring the connections between autism and cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and metabolic health, with the goal of improving long-term health outcomes for autistic people.

  • Predoctoral application deadline: August 4, 2026
  • Postdoctoral application deadline: August 5, 2026
  • Award start date: January 1, 2027
