Community Opportunity: Applications Open for The Arc of King County’s Inclusion Academy
The Arc of King County is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Inclusion Academy, a free advocacy and leadership training program for parents, caregivers, self-advocates, educators, and allies interested in advancing inclusive education and disability rights. The program focuses on belonging, membership, and participation for students with disabilities from preschool through K–12.
Participants will explore topics including disability rights, disability history and justice, inclusive practices, civic engagement, and strategies for creating more inclusive schools and communities. The Inclusion Academy is grounded in the science of childhood development and the legal and research foundations of inclusive learning.
Classes will be held in person in SeaTac between September 19 and October 24, 2026. Participation is free, but space is limited. Priority will be given to King County residents. Applications are due June 30, 2026.
