New Resource: Diversity Plan Supplement Guide
A new annotated resource is now available to support UW researchers in developing Diversity Plans for clinical trials.
The annotated Diversity Plan for Clinical Trials Supplement offers step-by-step guidance to help research teams plan for more equitable participation, including ways to reduce barriers and support the inclusion of underrepresented groups.
The resource also helps researchers think through key elements such as language access, community-informed study design, and strategies to improve recruitment and retention across diverse populations.
The annotated supplement includes:
- Explanations of each section of the form
- Guidance on setting enrollment goals and rationale
- Examples to support clear and complete responses
By making expectations more transparent, this tool can help researchers design studies that are more accessible and reflective of the communities they aim to serve.
