Project ECHO for Educators on Challenging Behavior
The Professional Development Unit at the Haring Center for Inclusive Education is offering a 10-session professional development series for educators on strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behavior using the Project ECHO model.
This remote series will take place on Zoom on Thursdays from 4 to 5 pm, April 2 through June 4, 2026.
In this series, Dr. Katy Bateman, PhD, BCBA-D, will present strategies to prevent and respond to challenging behavior, including function-based supports and progress monitoring. Sessions combine brief presentations with case-based learning, giving participants the opportunity to share their own cases and receive feedback from a multidisciplinary expert team.
The team includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a special education teacher, a mental health provider, a school psychologist, and a parent of a child with a disability and challenging behavior.
Schools, districts, ESDs, agencies, and organizations can purchase slots for educators to participate. The cost is $500 per participant for the 10-session series.
