2026 Disability and Health Scholarship Now Open
The American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) is now accepting applications for the 2026 AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability. This annual scholarship supports students with disabilities who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in fields related to health and disability.
Preference is given to students majoring in areas such as public health, health promotion, disability studies, disability research, rehabilitation engineering, audiology, disability policy, special education, or other disciplines connected to disability and health. The application deadline is March 6, 2026.
Applicants must submit:
- A personal statement up to two pages describing their background, educational and career goals, community involvement, and reasons for applying
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member or academic advisor
- A recent official or unofficial transcript
- Documentation verifying disability status from a qualified professional
- Applicants must be US citizens or legal residents enrolled in an accredited university in the United States.
