April is Autism Acceptance Month

Photo: Smiling mother and son with autism high five.April is Autism Acceptance Month, and April 2 marks World Autism Awareness Day.

This is a time to move beyond awareness and focus on acceptance.

For many in the disability community, awareness on its own is not enough. Acceptance means creating communities where autistic people are respected, supported, and included as they are.

Throughout April and beyond, we continue learning from autistic perspectives and working toward environments where people can participate and belong across the lifespan.
