The IDDRC Genetics Core at the University of Washington is offering a new pilot opportunity for IHDD Research Affiliates interested in applying spatial transcriptomics to the study of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Through access to the 10x Genomics CytAssist platform, selected researchers will receive one Visium HD slide (with two reactions per slide) to pilot spatial transcriptomics experiments on human tissue samples. This opportunity includes training, support, and optional data analysis assistance from the Genetics Core.

This pilot program is intended to support high-quality, innovative research focused on the spatial landscape of gene expression in IDD-relevant tissues.

Award Summary

  • One Visium HD slide (2 reactions per slide)
  • Training and technical support from the Genetics Core
  • Data analysis support available
  • Human tissue only; minimum DV200 > 30
  • Sequencing costs not included

Timeline

  • Application Deadline: April 14, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT
  • Award Notification: By April 31, 2025
  • Experiments must be completed by: July 31, 2025
