WA ABLE Survey and New Eligibility and Savings Limits

A new, brief survey is available to learn how organizations currently share disability resources and how WA ABLE can better support that work. The deadline to participate is January 31, 2026.

WA ABLE has also expanded eligibility under the federal ABLE Age Adjustment Act. Individuals diagnosed with a qualifying disability before age 46 are now eligible to open an account, extending access to many more people across the state. Learn more about expanded eligibility.

In addition, annual contribution limits have increased for 2026. Account holders can now contribute up to $20,000 per year, with an additional $15,650 allowed for employed individuals, depending on income.
