WA INCLUDE Community Session

The January WA INCLUDE community session will focus on Special Education in Washington State. This session is sponsored by the Complex Behavior ECHO and will feature Dr. Tania May, Assistant Superintendent of Special Education for the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Tania May, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent of Special Education, OSPI
Dr. May collaborates with schools, community partners, families, and students to support improved outcomes for students with disabilities across Washington State. She brings more than 30 years of experience in special education, including inclusive elementary practices, high school co-teaching, multilingual supports for students with disabilities, and behavioral supports in non-public agency settings.
She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Washington Tacoma, a master’s degree in special education from San Francisco State University, and a bachelor’s degree in political economy from the University of California, Berkeley. She is also the parent of an autistic teenager.
