ADOS-2 Workshops at the UW Autism Center
The University of Washington Autism Center (UWAC) is hosting two in-person workshops on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) this February. The ADOS-2 is a standardized diagnostic tool widely considered the gold standard for assessing autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Both trainings will be held on the UW Seattle campus.
ADOS-2 Introductory Clinical Workshop
- Dates: February 2–3, 2026, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM PT
- Cost: $600 per person
This two-day workshop provides instruction on administering and scoring ADOS-2 Modules 1–4. Participants will observe two live demonstrations and engage in detailed coding discussions. Training videos and protocols will be provided for continued practice. Completion of this workshop is a prerequisite for the Advanced Research Workshop and Toddler Module Workshop.
Prerequisites: Designed for providers with at least a Master’s degree in a professional field related to ASD (e.g., psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physicians, licensed mental health professionals, teachers). Individuals without a Master’s degree but with training in administering standardized tests are also welcome.
Clock hours: OSPI-approved clock hours are available for certificated educational staff in Washington state. Certificates of completion will be provided.

ADOS-2 Toddler Module Workshop
- Date: February 4, 2026, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM PT
- Cost: $300 per person
This one-day workshop reviews administration and coding of the ADOS-2 Toddler Module in a lecture, demonstration, and group discussion format. One live demonstration will be included. This training is intended for researchers and clinicians who have completed the Introductory Clinical Workshop on Modules 1–4 and are seeking additional training for working with toddlers.
Prerequisites: Prior training in Modules 1–4 of the ADOS/ADOS-2 (through clinical or research workshops).
Clock hours: OSPI-approved clock hours are available for certificated educational staff in Washington state. Certificates of completion will be provided.

Instructor
Both workshops will be led by Dr. Tanya St. John, Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Scientific Investigator at the UW Autism Center. Dr. St. John has extensive experience in autism research and clinical practice, with a focus on toddlers and young children.
