Seattle SPARC Symposium on Cognitive Resilience and Reserve

Photos: Bronze W on the University of Washington campus.The Seattle Program for Augmenting Resilience and Cognition (SPARC) is hosting its first symposium on Cognitive Resilience and Cognitive Reserve as part of the Washington Initiative in Neuroscience Innovation (WIN) Challenge, in collaboration with the UW IHDD.

This in-person symposium will explore current research on cognitive resilience and reserve, including their role in aging, brain health, and neurological function. Discussions will also include opportunities for research within a revitalized Seattle Longitudinal Study.

Topics and Presentations

Local experts will lead discussions on the following topics:

  • What are cognitive resilience and reserve?
  • How can we measure resilience and reserve?
  • Can we enhance resilience and reserve?

Audience members will have the opportunity to attend in person, watch presentations, and engage in discussions via an online platform. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
