This landmark legislation continues to address the critical needs of children, adolescents, and adults with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilities.

The Act also supports federal investments and coordinated efforts across the Department of Health and Human Services to improve research, training, and support systems.

AUCD’s Director of Public Policy, Cindy Smith, expressed gratitude for the bipartisan leadership that made this legislation possible, stating, “We look forward to continuing to engage in work that makes a positive impact in the lives of people with autism and other disabilities.”
