Elizabeth Nance, Ph.D., IHDD Researcher and UW Bioengineering faculty, has been awarded a Washington Research Foundation (WRF) grant for her project “Heading the Pipeline for Novel Engineered Neurotherapeutics in Newborns.” The focus of the WRF grant is to develop comprehensive plans for projects that will substantially enhance Washington state’s life-science ecosystem and improve lives. Over the next 12 to 18 months, Dr. Nance will use their planning grant to develop proposals for large-scale initiatives to submit to WRF and other funding agencies.
The WRF award focuses on potential collaborations between institutions, fostering diverse and inclusive innovation ecosystems, and exploring commercialization pathways for new technologies to meet unmet public needs in the region.
