Open Doors Organization, a nonprofit disability awareness group based in Chicago, with the mission to make goods and services accessible to people with disabilities in travel, tourism, and transportation. We have partnered with Sound Transit in the development of a wayfinding app. We are seeking participants who are disabled to assist in testing the software and they will be compensated. Please see below for all the details. If you have any questions, please reach out at the number provided below.

On behalf of Sound Transit and GoodMaps, we are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for your constituents to take part in Round 2 User Testing Program for a brand-new navigation app called GoodMaps, which provides turn-by-turn directions inside and around Sound Transit station environments between October 16th-19th.

The Tester’s role in this research will be to provide feedback about the features that we have designed for the app. Those selected to participate will be asked to meet with a researcher in person at the Sound Transit International District/Chinatown Station. Testers will be asked to participate in one, 60-75 minute session on Monday, October 16th, Tuesday, October 17th, Wednesday 18th, and Thursday 19th. To be eligible to participate, Testers must be over the age of 18 years old and must use a smartphone. For participating in this research, Testers will receive a $100 Visa gift card and a transit day pass for travel.

We appreciate your support in getting the word out about this exciting opportunity! Please feel free to share this email with anyone you think might be interested. Please note: we are looking for 25 people total and will select testers based on availability and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you are interested in participating in the research program, please contact Katy O’Reilly at KatyO@opendoorsnfp.org or by phone at 773-388-8839.
